Overview

This policy explains how Scoperis handles information in connection with this website and with the research services we provide. Scoperis is an independent business-to-business research company. We identify companies and the professional contacts within them on behalf of client businesses.

Two different kinds of information are covered here, and it is worth separating them:

• Website information — information relating to people who visit scoperis.com.
• Research information — business contact information we compile for clients as part of our services.

Information we collect through this website

This website does not use contact forms, does not require an account, and does not ask visitors to submit personal information. We do not sell anything through this site.

If you email us using the address published on this site, we receive the information you choose to include in that message, such as your name, your email address, your employer, and the details of your enquiry. We use it only to respond to you and to assess whether we can help.

Our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information as part of delivering the website, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is a normal function of web hosting and is used for security and reliability.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and does not embed third-party advertising or social media tracking scripts. Fonts, styles, and scripts are served from this website itself rather than from third-party networks.

If analytics are introduced in future, this policy will be updated before that happens, and any consent required in your jurisdiction will be obtained.

Research information

As part of our services we compile business contact information relating to people in their professional capacity: name, job title, employer, business email address, and where available a direct business telephone number. We do not compile home addresses, personal email addresses, personal telephone numbers, or any information unrelated to a person’s professional role.

This information is obtained from sources such as company websites and public announcements, public business registers and official filings, professional profiles that individuals publish about their own working role, industry bodies and published membership lists, public reporting and trade press, and direct confirmation with the company concerned.

We do not purchase bulk contact databases and resell them as our own research, and we do not use sources we would be unwilling to identify. Every record we deliver carries a note of where the information came from.

How research information is used and shared

Research information is compiled to a specific brief and delivered to the client who commissioned it, under written terms setting out how it may be used. We do not publish it, list it for general sale, or resell the same commissioned research to other parties.

Clients are independently responsible for how they use information delivered to them, including any consent, disclosure, or contact obligations that apply to them under the laws of their jurisdiction.

Your choices and rights

If you believe your professional information appears in our research and you would like it removed, contact us at scos@scoperis.com. We will remove it, and we will record the request so that the same information is not compiled back into later work.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion, and to object to certain processing. Residents of some U.S. states have specific rights, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request deletion. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address above. We will respond within the period required by the law that applies, and we will not treat you differently for making a request.

Mobile messaging

Scoperis does not currently operate an SMS or text messaging program, and we do not send marketing text messages. We do not collect mobile telephone numbers through this website.

If a messaging program is introduced in future, the following will apply and this policy will be updated before any message is sent:

• Messages will only be sent to people who have given express prior consent to receive them.
• Consent to receive messages will never be a condition of purchasing any product or service.
• Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.
• Recipients may cancel at any time by replying STOP, and may reply HELP for assistance. Support is also available by email at scos@scoperis.com.
• Mobile opt-in information and consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with any third party for that third party’s own marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
• Information relating to messaging consent will be used only to operate the messaging program and to meet legal and regulatory obligations.

Service providers

We use a small number of ordinary business service providers, such as website hosting and business email. These providers process information only as necessary to deliver their service to us. We do not authorize them to use it for their own purposes.

Data security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the information we handle, including access controls and secure transmission of this website over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of our dealings with you. Research information is retained for the duration of the engagement it relates to and for a reasonable period afterwards, unless a removal request has been received, in which case the record is removed and the request retained so it can continue to be honored.

International visitors

Scoperis serves business clients in the United States, and information is processed accordingly. If you contact us from outside the United States, you understand that your message will be handled in that context.

Children

This website and our services are directed at businesses. They are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information relating to children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the website, our services, or applicable law. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
